Fruit Cocktail, Fresh Appetizer for Iftar

TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Eating fruits can give many benefits to our healthy. However, eating fruits can be boring. Therefore, you need ways to make eating fruits not boring, such as adding fruits into salads or soup or making a fruit cocktail.

Fruit cocktail usually uses hard-textured fruits, such as yam, young papaya, pineapple, and apple.

For the juice, you can add white sugar, clove, and cinnamon to enhance its aroma.

To make it easier, here is the easiest fruit cocktail recipe.

Ingredients
500 ml water

150 gr white sugar

4 whole cloves

5 cm of cinnamon

400 gr apple, peeled, diced

200 gr pineapple, diced

Young papaya

Yam

Cooking method:

Mix some water, white sugar, cloves, and cinnamon in a pan and bring it to a boil.

Soak the papaya in limewater, then rinse well.

Add the fruits. Lower the heat. Continue cooking for 2-3 more minutes.

Put it inside the refrigerator for 2 – 3 hours. Pour the fruit cocktail into 6 serving glasses, and add some ice cubes. Voila! The fresh fruit cocktail is ready to serve for Iftar! (*)
